...I know, I know... the site has changed radically many times, and there haven't been many games on the site (until now), but hey, it's still been alive & kicking for ten frickin' years!
That's pretty cool. Wait and see how much better the site gets this year... changes are coming fast.

New Games Added To OnlineGameHounds.com!
Submitted by Hoza on Sun, 03/01/2009 - 6:20amUntil I (finally) get around to explaining this whole thing more, I'll just post this article telling you that there are a TON of new games over at our other site www.OnlineGameHounds.com! That's crazy to think about... and it was difficult to get set up.
If you have an account here at PointlessGames.com (or www.CasinoGamePlanet.com too), it will work just fine over at Online Game Hounds. They're actually all a part of the same network of sites... again, which will be explained some day.
For now, all you need to know is there are a ton of games to be played, so get over there!
Have fun, but don't forget to come back here too, since we'll be ramping things up here as well. I'll try to link the sites together soon.
Big Changes Coming... and a bunch of games!!
Submitted by Hoza on Thu, 01/22/2009 - 5:57amSite changes are underway. I didn't finish the updates before I ran out of juice for the night. For now, the whole backend has been upgraded, but there's still a lot of work to do.
I'm sorry to say, but the site will be a mess for most of the day. Right now, though, I need to sleep.

Flash Game Post Launches
Submitted by Hoza on Sat, 06/07/2008 - 2:27pmIt's been a while in development, but Flash Game Post has finally gotten the core system working and has officially "launched!" Yay! This means, for starters, all the players who have been visiting PointlessGames.com for many years will be able to play all the games that used to be on this site!
For various reasons -- possibly for a limited time -- I've decided to keep my baby PointlessGames.com clear of externally-made games. I might start including other games, but if I do, they will be very strictly screened and will either be very high quality or just be really pointless. Since I don't make "very high quality" games, I have to have the other category of "really pointless" or I wouldn't even get my own games on the site! :P
So go to Flash Game Post to play a slew of online games, but be sure to come back here later for our goodies. :P

That will hopefully include user accounts and ALL the comments/forum posts, but right now, I'm not totally sure what will be compatible with this new, VERY different system.
If you're looking to get at a game you want to play from the old site (or if you want to see where things have come from) I made a copy of the old site here:
www.FlashGamePost.com (I know, the domain is just one I had available. It'll work for now.)
So run over there and play if you want something right away. Otherwise, hang out here and see how things change over the next couple hours! I'm doing all this in real time, so if you happen to be around now, you'll see the evolution of a site right before your eyes. Fun, fun.
Anyway, I'll do my best to bring over all the old users, so if you had an account in the old Pointless Games, hold on for more news and I'll see what I can do ASAP.

Welcome to Pointless Games 3.0 BETA!
Submitted by Hoza on Sat, 12/22/2007 - 2:20pmIt's been a loooong time coming, but here we go on the next round of work on PointlessGames.com. I'm figuring it is around version 3.0, but maybe more like 6.0 or something if you count some of the really early work back around 1999-2003 or so. Whatever it's called, I'm stoked to get things using a MUCH better (read: easier to work with) system in the back end. This should help me across several sites to make updates and add features.
So... a couple notes as of today:
Scores are not yet working in the games that have been moved over. This will remain a work in progress on this new site system, but I figure having games to play is more important than having high scores... I know scoring rocks though, so that will come soon. Content from the old Pointless Games site -- including games, articles, forum posts and comments -- will all be converted over time, with my ideas of the "most important" stuff being converted first, followed by the rest. I may actually just tank some of it if it's not something we need anymore. There's a lot of history here that I want preserved, so I hope to get most of it pulled in, for archival purposes if nothing else. This is still a work in progress, so hopefully anything broken will be fixed soon. Please have some patience and drop me a note if you have requests or praise (especially praise... I need motivation to keep working hard on this stuff, eh?!)
